With more than 2000 distribution centers in France, our client delivers more than 100 million meals throughout the country every year. To respond effectively to this humanitarian challenge, logistical obstacles must be removed by optimizing food flows and the supply of distribution centers. Our team was responsible for developing a project to estimate the quantity of food distribution in each of the centers and set up a recommendation system in order to supply the centers, according to demand, with the most appropriate products available.

Food Management

The food resource is precious and even more so for our customer. Optimizing its management makes it possible to improve the service provided and to facilitate the work of volunteers in the centers, by offering tools to support decision-making at the national and departmental levels.

Make

Demand analysis and recommendation model

The project allowed us to develop a set of tools covering analysis, demand estimation and food supply management. Indeed, the recommendation system will make it possible to choose the best products to meet local consumption constraints and distribute balanced meals to families between the periods when the centers are supplied.

Scale

Customer managed process

The infrastructure and models are now ready to be deployed in production. The customer has a set of models providing concrete solutions and an example of a solution applied on the Dataiku DSS platform.
